Description
After getting 3 +favs in a row this week on the original Nights Into Dreams fanart piece I did (not much compared to what some major artists get but to me thats alot), I thought that it would be somewhat wise to make a wallpaper of it because people like having wallpapers. Not missing out on that, I did and am submitting it now because its only a WallPaper version of a piece I already submitted.For the original piece go here -> [link]

This is a beautiful wallpaper for NiGHTS fans like myself. Nice sizing of the logo, the dude on his perch in the corner, really, very well done.

Thanks, I'm not sure when I'll make another weapon piece but I'm defientaly going to continue making them time to time. As for VG fan art, I have a list of characters/titles that I intend to make fanart of so I can submit them as a seperate pieces and eventually when the entire list is done make a compiled deviation(s).

Great job on the piece except I don't like those stars. ~.~ Your vectoring is getting better and better. I really love that building.

In actuallity I never have 100% really liked the 'paint tube' stars (In Jasc Paintshop) myself but they are all I could really do. (I would vector about ten random one and just reuse them over and over but even that takes alot of effort.. and they probably would turn out the same

It's really quite simple. Just get a nice color that you want your stars to be. Get a round 0% hardness brush and then make it like 4px. Start plopping around everywhere. Then get a 3px one and plop more densely around the 4px ones and then 2px ones plop around the 3 px ones and then the 1px ones plop everywhere.. don't be afraid to make some like.. trails.. I'll make a quick example of what I mean.

I might try fixing it up with that technique later (I'm currently in game design and I'm trying to learn how to use Gmax, the student version of 3Ds Max, so I can make cool looking graphics should I need/want to. As well as make a bunch of deviations), if I get around to it.

nono.. don't worry about placement. Make it random. First start with a pure black bg and then make a duplicate layer and make it a grain filter or something. So it looks like static. Then mess with levels to make some go away. And just play around randomly like that.
Then start the little technique.

Gad... you do realize that this is a 1600X1200 wallpaper, at only a small size pixel brush to place each star piece by piece (or pixel size by pixel size) it would take me a while to complete unless I cheated and used some large stars here and there, which would need to be placed correctly so they aren't too distracting. Unless your not telling me of a way to place a large amount of stars in a few passes of the mouse, I would be impatient to finish it all the way.
You're good making good art really fast, seriously I've seen how long you take on drawing random things and then adding cool effects to them on the computer, you work fast, I'm sadly... usually slow (and not just at art).
