Now this is where you wonder, what the heck?What the heck happened?!
I was irritated and angry and I didn't have anything sharp. So I decided to mull my Barbie doll in the form of Chuck Palahniuk's Invisible Monsters. WHICH I so did not read...but I hella want toooo! *whines and cries* But no library here has it...due to its awesome disturbing content. So I'm reading Dairy...just finished reading Rant and Lullaby last week...
I'm on a roll on reading books.
And Lullaby made me realize my music is a distraction to my inspiration and course of work. Everytime I listen to music on school days...I don't do my work, I don't read and I don't draw. So I cut up my head phones and cut up a few internal pieces in my discman. Problem solved. Now I read 2 Palahniuk books in one week and drew quite profusely. And I wrote some stuff....YAY! My brain is my own again.
How I made her face like that? Well I cut off her lower jaw and her left arm...which was quite hard. Then I took a black pen, scribbled organ junk on it and colored it red with a permanent marker then- TADA!
And I attacked my other doll by cutting of her legs and such...and giving her a haircut like mine. But she looks kinda nasty-ugly. So no pictures of her.
Does it look cool?
I wanna send my doll to Palahniuk. ^^

Mine would have to be Fight Club because its so sincere and I can see a lot of myself in the narrator.

of chuck, i really enjoyed these 3 - fight club, choke and diary - am still to finish rant, just started on it 2 days back... so yeah.. the above mentioned 3 are my favorites, you can say... can't choose one particular book outta these.. it'll be unfair to others then
and seriously.. i feel there is a bit of us in every character that is featured in his book.. he gets really close to completing every one of us.. at least our dark side.. what say?

This is brilliant, I not long finished reading this book and wowee, combining the awesomeness of Palahniuk and the destruction of a barbie doll is a recipe for brilliance

try a book store
in most you can just sit there and read it without ever buying it
that's how i used to read books when i had no $$$ to pay for them with and didnt feel like sitting in the formaldehyde filled library.
i got it out of the library at school...

Into Sundance?! WOW! I REALLY need to read Choke so bad. Makes me mad that I have limited book resources around here. Fuck. Well I try not to look stuff up onto his books being made into films since I always like getting surprised. lol Its like I see the previews for it and fall off the couch in shock. Its fun.

INVISIBLE MONSTERS!!! Such a great books. So many twists!!!(you should really hold your local librarian hostage until they agree to send that book there)
And Diary and Fight Club are both great books too!

This is absolutely fantastic.
Invisible Monsters has to be the best book I've ever read; I bought it at the beginning of a road trip and had it finished by the time we got home because I absolutely couldn't put it down. I've never found anything more powerful in my life, really.

And yes he could! Every word that comes out of his work and mouth really strikes me...Fight Club and Rant also really changed me...about consumerism and time travel...Rant got me thinking that all the rich happy kids were time travellers.
