Description
Week 2ish of class was all about practicing value.

This was my introduction to making a "haze" on the paper first so you are working with a middle value and can go up and down from there.

I really prefer this technique to starting with just plain white paper.

Haze done with vine charcoal, the rest is black compressed.
Bond paper.

Objects are a jug/vase (also appears in my blind contour drawings), a basketball, vacuum hose, wooden stands.
