Description Oh this is the animal that never was.
They knew it not but loved it anyways
- from its neck, its prancing, its pose,
to the light of its tranquil gaze.

Of course, it wasn't real. But it grew pure
because they loved it.

[Rilke]

You see? I DO paint women. It doesn't exactly happen every day, mind you, but it DOES happen!

A companion piece.. of sorts.. to the man and the wolf.

There also needs to be a man and a fox. I am still pondering that one however.

This is another traditional piece, acrylic on Claybord (I buy so much of their board, they should send me a birthday card), 16" x 20". I like 16" x 20"; it's a friendly size, I can mess with it right at my desk without having to use an easel (there is a Lot of paint spattered on my monitor, ehe).

Lots of washy salt stuff in the background (do you see the horse? There were people that didn't see the horse), airbrush work on the figure with lots and *lots* of refining of the detail with a scratch-knife and a fiberglass brush and stuff like that. If you ever find yourself getting curious about a technique, just ask, I'll use lots of hand gestures as I try to explain.

Incredibly stunning! The mixture of precise details and more rough strokes, how it is coloured, the way the lines flow into each other, the composition ... There's so much to love about this!

I love the wolf, but there's something really refined about this one... Gorgeous as well. Looking at your work always makes me want to try traditional, but I know I can't do half the beautiful things you do!
