Description Last of the files found on the computer during cleanup. This is a scenario where an alien race conquers and destroys the Earth system, but humanity survives in a diaspora.

The year is 3411AD. Almost 900 years have past since the loss of the Earth system to the encroaching xenos. No-one knows when they arrived, or who provoked them, all we can remember is that they have been warring with humanity since then, and they show no sign of stopping.

United Stellar Authority:
  • New Unity Coalition: The army of humanity. The Coalition is the brains and brawn behind the main Reconquest mission against the xenos. Most of their worlds feature large training centers where new recruits from all over human space are trained and genetically engineered to enter the battle against the enemies. All this activity is controlled from the Dyson Swarm that is Unity, the installation that houses the Coalitions executive powers as well as the major A.I. that help direct the war effort. Of course, in the name of survival and victory, most culture of these worlds has been replaced by a uniform warrior culture were everyone strives to serve the military and kill xenos. While dissenters are free  to leave, should they try and get others to come most will resist themselves due to the pervasive indoctrination. All's fair in love and war after all.
  • United Technocratic Republics: The UTR is less nationalistic and oppressive than it's neighbor, but is still committed to the antixeno war effort. The UTR prides itself on being on the cutting edge of technology, always pushing the scientific frontier. Of course these discoveries coincidentally help improve weapons technologies, which can be used on the front line. Relativistic portal cannons, meson turrets, and plasma lances have all come from UTR's laboratories and factories recently. This technological progress comes at a cost. All parts of society are controlled by the government, from the economy to the bedroom, as inefficiencies can be made everywhere. A rigorous and 30-year long schooling system searches for the next Einstein or Da Vinci, while life extension therapy ensures that citizens can serve scientific progress for at least a millennia of their lifetime.
  • Sarken Caliphate: Despite it's religious roots the Caliphate is the most liberal of the United Stellar Authority. While Christianity and Hinduism failed tto modernize Islam had a renaissance and evolved into a liberal theology which accepts all theists, no matter what they believe as long as it's a higher power. Even then almost a third of the Caliphate's citizens would be called agnostic or atheist by today's standards. The smallest but populous state of the Authority was founded by a collection of religious professors from Earth Middle East and Indonesia who wanted a society that would accept religiousness in this dour and atheist times. While the Caliphate's culture is certainly Islamic, only 60% espouse believing in the religion itself, and the Caliphates hospitality has drawn many into the polity to settle. However the religious government still supported the reclamation of Earth, and has fallen into the Authority's  camp over the past centuries. Many of the Caliphates youth enlist in the Coalition's military, though many comeback traumatized.

First Accord:
  • Easter Alliance: The most democratic of the human polities, the Alliance is a collection of backwater but peaceful systems who oppose the xeno war, believing it to be bringing harm to both sides. Born out of indigenous Pacific conservationism (many of their home islands having been destroyed during Earth's climate change), the Alliance culture has a synergistic relationship with nature, with many technologies featuring biomanipulation and gene grafting. Many Alliance homes are made out of smart coral, which grows from seeds into a full dorm in under two weeks. While the Alliance once tried to reason with the United Stellar Authority, their stubbornness has left them disillusioned, and some higher ups have tried contacting the xenos directly, to no avail.
  • Republic of Zion: With the destruction of Earth Israel was truly lost to the Jews, and so many went on to form a new Zion among the stars. While once heavily isolationist and unwilling to communicate with the rest of humanity, they have recently come out of thei shell to ally with the Easter Alliance and form the First Accord. This was done just to help stop the United Stellar Authority from encroaching on their territory as they expanded. Unlike the Caliphate, Zion is still strongly traditional when it comes to religion, with Judaism practiced by 93% of the population. Religious freedom is allowed, though the irreligious and non-Abrahamic religion followers cannot run for office. Only a Jew can be President or Secretary of Defense. Interestingly Zion has been the only human government the xeno Federation of the Secan has communicated with, trading cultural artifacts and hydrocarbons.

Kzuclibbon Alliance System:
  • Veyohaan: The government of the Kzuclibbon, the quadrupedal crab-like aliens that were the first to attack humanity and the destroyers of the Earth system. The Kzuclibbon seemed to evolve on a hot Mars-type, where they learned to dominate the biosphere and rule the planet. This tribal culture never left them as they reached the stars, attacking and enslaving the sapient races they meet exploring space. It is not known if their are dissenting opinions or off shoot Kzuclibbon governments or if they have been eliminated by the others, as the Veyohaan is pretty culturally and politically uniform. Of all the xenos, the Kzuclibbon is the most hated of the humans (and seemingly vice-versa) due to them starting the xeno wars and their personal hand in destroying Earth. The New Unity Coalition and Veyohaan vessels constantly clash among their borders hoping to penetrate, though a stalemate has been reached over the past century.
  • Dagal Confederation: Named after a Kzuclibbon god (Authority propaganda says it is a slave god, but in reality it is more of a god of courage and royalty), the Confederation features over 17 of the Kzuclibbon's enslaved species. The two most prominent are the Vluv'ntea, (supposedly the Kzuclibbon's first conquest) a docile race of avian jellyfish, and the Workai, rodent-like bipeds who act as pack animals for the Confederation. There is a small elite of Kzuclibbon who keep the enslaved in check. The Confederation serves the Veyohaan, and is a dumping ground for the Kzuclibbon's dirty industry, with many Confederation systems and planets being stripped of resources in service of the war.

  • Hezasleon Khaocracy: An odd society even for the rest of the xenos, the Khaocracy is the government of the Xreohselpe, a hive-mind species of reptilian millipede-analogues. They are effectively 10-meter long snakes with between 60-200 limbs. They breathe a thick CO2/ammonia mix atmosphere, so many of the planets they colonize have to be 'xenoformed' to their specifications, usually by using planetcracking ammonium comets to seed the atmosphere and activate heavy tectonics. The Khaocracy, seemingly unaligned with the Veyohaan, joined in against humanity to conquer its worlds as well. While at first it was thought the Khaocracy was like the bloodthirsty Kzuclibbon, it now seems they were doing it out of nessecity, with the Xrehselpe uncontrollably expanding due to rampant mating. The Xreohselpe feature a hive mind, sharing a consiousness, though recently captured Xreohselpe that have been studied and operated on reveal a different story. It seems that rather than sharing each others consiousness', the Xreohselpe share one beings conscious, and that these are all 'sub-conscious' drones that one being. There seems to be a complex system of layered consciousness, so the lowest drones are controlled by smaller groups of more intelligent drones, and that group controlled by a smaller group of more intelligent drones, until the system reaches the 'one being.' Unfortunately for the Authority, this means the death of the highest being will not bring the system down, but that the next layer of drones will take over.
  • The Similian: The Similian is the name of the society that governs the Tacass, hyper-intelligent sea creatures that are analogous to multi-tentacled giant starfish. The Tacass are a passive and isolationist species, with the firepower to back up this stance against the Veyohaan and the Hezasleon Khaocracy. They evolved on a marshy oceanic world with shallow seas, with the species discovering electricity before producing fire. The Similian is the pseudo-government the helps govern Tacass society. Massive space-based A.I generate outcomes of policy via prediction markets, and then present their findings to elected judges, who determine which is the best policy to take according to Similian culture and society. The decision made is mostly ignore what else is happening in the galaxy. The United Stellar Authority has tried to contact The Similian on a number of occasions, getting over their usual xenophobia to try and obtain the Tacass' defense against the other xenos, but only silence has been the answer.
  • Federation of the Secan: The only 'friendly' xeno species to humanity, the canine Blyc have formalized relations with at least one of humanities polities (Republic of Zion) and because of their cooperation has been left alone by the Authority. Despite having similar technology to humanity, most of the Blyc don't use it, instead opting to live in shallow trees like their ancestors did. The Secan is the species-wide council that the educated elite of the Blyc use to govern the Federation and develop new technology. The Secan mostly leave the agrarian Blyc majority alone, content to continue Blyc scientific progress while their brothers and sisters toil planetside. If a agrarian-born Blyc wants to join the Secan, they are accepted wholeheartedly, sent to school to be educated and inducted into the Secan, ready to govern the species.
  • Entayta Empire: The most unknown of the xenos, the Entayta Empire sits on the edge of known space, governed by the Qitowyn, humongous plodding bison-like sapients with rough, hairless skin. From what little information can be gathered, the Qitowyn are not from this part of the galaxy, and immigrated from near the Galactic Core, settling here among other species. These less-advanced species are allowed to rule over the Qitowyn (having given themselves up voluntarily) in what is known as a terearchy. This odd society gives their technology to the species they settle among and let the new species do what they want; some Qitowyn are enslaved, some are set free or rejected, some are integrated into the new society. Rumors persist that the reasons they left the Core is because of war, and they left in their hollow moons to avoid extinction.
