As Mehit came wandering back in the door of the cottage long past midnight after playing in the woods with her friend Ciel, something was amiss. The candles were still lit around the house, the dishes from earlier that day still were sitting unwashed, and the fire was unkindled. Mama would usually take care of these things and be sitting reading in the living room by now... Mehit then walked back towards her room and her mother's room, peeking in to find the candles still lit there as well and Mama nowhere to be found.

Hesitantly, she turned into the guest room across the hall and shook Castor awake.

"Have you seen mama Eco?" She asked.

Castor, still very groggy from just having been woken up, shook his head and tried to remember when he had last seen Eco.

"Um... she went out after dinner shortly after you had. I believe she said she was going out to check the traps?" He said with a loud yawn.

"She still hasn't come back yet then and it's long past midnight..." Mehit said, half to herself. "I'm going to go look for her then"

Before Mehit could leave Castor grabbed her by the arm.

"No wait wait. You can't go out there alone. I know you've been out all night already but if something got to her it's better to have some backup, let me grab my things and a scarf and I'll help you. You lead the way to where the traps were placed and I'll help out when we actually find her." he said. "I know a bit of healing... well at least some minor stuff. If she's hurt then I can help her get on her feet again to get to Dr.F in town."

Mehit nodded. "Let's hurry then."

I'm terrible at writing story and also this has been a sketch literally since October so excuse me if the extra grown in toes look tacked on or the body isn't consistent with her slow grow.

TL: DR; is that Mama Eco has gone missing and now Castor, Mehit, and Fitcher (just along for the ride bc dad didn't want to leave him there alone) are looking for her on the game trails by the cottage.
