Well, my first deviation. This was my first (and last) try of an "untoon"-Pic. I thought it would be a nice change from drawing/painting and i believed it wouldn`t be so difficult to work from a reference picture (the reference was a black/white drawing from artist J. Scott Campbell, love his work!), but i was fooling myself! The hours spending in search for reference material (Photos), particularly in high-res were trully frustrating! Anyway i hope you like it, i`m gonna upload some more works soon!

Thanks for the nice comment, and yeah it was some kind of frustrating, back then i even didn't had a graphic tablet and worked entirely with mouse on this one. I updated my description with a link to the original drawing.

Thanks for adding the link! Must say it's spot on. I love how she looks so real, but still keeps that cartoony feel. Because of the lighting, perspective and focus the background doesn't quite work for me. Would say it's distracting rather than adding something to the picture.

haha, there is no particular reason, i just wanted to place her in front of a N.Y. City location and tried something new, not the usual Empire State Building, WTC or the usual stuff.

I was at Radio City Music Hall in 1967. The Rockettes freaked me out. It was like a casino in Metropolis.
As for the lady in the foreground all I can say is:
