Hopefully this isn't that huge of a spoiler for those of you who haven't read the book yet
Drawn mostly because I love this whole family. I don't understand the huge dislike of Tonks, Lupin, or the fact that they're together. I always liked them as characters and was glad Tonks showed up to pull Lupin out of his angst.
I also think they'd be some of the coolest parents ever.Tonks, Lupin, and Teddy (c) J. K. Rowling

Very nice, Erin. Katie and I stayed up last night to finish the book. She cried. She cried at the OotP movie, too. It was pretty obvious what was going to happen when Dora showed up at Hogwarts. There were a lot of moments, I think, where the last book was predictable. Still, we both enjoyed it very much.
Even if the epilogue was a fantard's dream. (I still don't understand why Harry, as godfather, didn't end up raising Teddy) The only real (ie, non-fantard) purpose the epilogue served is that it confirmed Hagrid's survival (which was left in the air by the close of the last chapter).

Very true. I tend to believe that Andromeda Tonks (Nymphadora's mother and Teddy's Gran) would have raised him, following the model of Neville Longbottom. Hopefully this is one of those questions that will be laid to rest when Rowling puts out that encyclopedia she mentioned in an interview.

Yeah, I cried repeatedly. I had a bad feeling when she showed up at Hogwarts, but I was hoping. You know, "surely not, they just had a baby, she wouldn't do that." Also I think I'm one of the only people who enjoyed the epilogue. Go figure

Gah! I can't believe Lupin and Tonks had to die (no use keeping it a secret, since everyone else here has stated it already), at first I was oping to god that they were sleeping, even though they were next to...well, the other dead people. :'(

This is really a sweet picture... I was so sad when they both... *sobs hysterically* I was really happy that Lupin was at least happy with Tonks though, before it all... yeah... ;-;

I just finished it last night (thank goodness I stayed up late to finish before reading all of these spoilers!), and no, they never mention anything about whether or not he inherited Remus's lycanthrope. The only mention of him possibly inheriting Dora's metamorphmagus ability is how much his hair color changed as a baby, but no mention of it again while "snogging Victoire".

I take it that this is from one of your stories, but what never ceases to amaze me is your talent with colored pencils. I can literally see texture, I don't know how you do it but it's cool.

That was the whole reason for the epilogue: JK felt really guilty about making Teddy an orphan so she showed the readers that he grew up loved and happy
