Description Wednesday: Review

"Sarah," James called to her. It was Wednesday, the day before the big test. After school, Sarah had expected peace and quiet. James, on the other hand, had different plans.
Upstairs he heard her say, I will call you back, Abigail; James needs something. And keep your hopes up. I'm sure John will come around."
As she came down, she said to James, "Whaaat?"

"You said you'd help me review today! The big test is tomorrow," he whined.
"OK, don't whine," she said. James stuck out his tongue. Sarah rolled her eyes and said, "Come on."

She led her brother to the kitchen table. Her mother was making lunch and trying to keep Henry, who was screaming, quiet.

"Mom, the pacifier's in the junk the draw," James said, laughing. Sarah laughed as well.
"You just put it there," she turned back to James," Come on. You're the one who wanted help." James nodded.
"OK, so, what were the reason's the colonist stated they had to separate from Britain?"
"They said the king wouldn't let them create new laws, he didn't allow any more colonist, and they couldn't expand their area. He didn't let them choose judges and government official. He would choose them for them. He made soldiers stay with the colonist, even though there was no war-" Sarah recited, although she was cut off by James, "But wasn't there a war going on?"
"Yes but this was before the war. Can I continue," James nodded, "Good, so the colonists had to do everything fore the soldiers. They did laundry, gave food and clothes, and even housed the soldiers. He also issued all sorts of taxes for them, and they had no say. That was called "Taxation without representation", and it was a big deal. Anyways, he also banned juries and prevented trials from taking place in the colonies. He also tried to get the Indians to attack the colonists," Sarah said, out of breath.
"Oh, wow, that's a lot," James said, downheartedly.
"Don't worry. Just study this list. You'll do fine. Now let me do my homework. I've got a science final coming up," she told him, giving him a piece of paper she seemed to grab out of nowhere.
"We can study tomorrow morning, right," James asked, feeling brighter.
"Of course," she replied, smiling.
