Little late, but this was submitted in December 2016. Don't ask questions, just accept it.

Lance Volkov, ladies and gentlemen. The nihilist. The cynic. The afternoon snoozer.
In case you haven't figured it out, but Lance is a very cynical person; being very cold and stoic and whatnot. I've been trying to veer him away from angsty and brooding lately. Since there's plenty of emotional stressors that make him the way he is, it has become terribly difficult to avoid seeming too 'emo'. Sounds cheesy, but he's kind of that guy who seems heartless but ends up having a heart of gold after all... or something. Grown tired and cold to the world after giving so much of himself to the point he no longer is willing to give any more. Maybe redeems himself after learning to let the past go and fight for what's right, once again giving himself to protect others. Opening himself up even though it leaves him vulnerable once again. Idfk. Character design is hard, kids. Character's motives and personalities flip flop constantly while you write them, but I'm on the right track, me thinks. Trying to make him relatable, not necessarily likable. He's a dick, and I want him to have a very apparent weakness. Joel from The Last of Us, anyone? who knows.
