Nepali Chulo (Chulo = Stove) is a nice restaurant on Darbar Marg in Kathmandu. It is part of 157-year-old Rana palace, the Phora Darbar. It serves authentic Nepali cuisine with very strong rice wine. The staff is extremely friendly.

If you can, you can sit on the floor and eat your meal like traditionally Nepalis do or go for table and chairs.

We were served Wild Boar Curry, CHicken Curry, Mixed Veg Curry, Spinach, Mixed Lentil Soup, Black Lentil Stew and many more which I can't even name.

If you ask second and third helpings of the dishes, the staff will be very happy.

In the evening, there will be folk dance and music for the guests.
