Painted this while listening to his book 人間失格 (ningen shikkaku) "No longer human". It's a crazy good story, disturbed me to my very core. Not for the faint (or robust) of heart. It depicts a picture of him as being a face so average that you could not recognize it even after a second viewing so I tried to work that into a painting based of a popular photo of him.
