Knap werk..Heb respect voor mensen die er de tijd voor nemen iets te presteren. t'Is zeldzaam tegenwoordig in onze 'rush'tijd. Leuk die link naar klimt toe..ook de veren smaken naar de vergane glorie van Art Nouveau. En toch..blijft de essentie er: Het portret waar het allemaal om gaat. Oh this is lovely! Your daughter is stunning, and I can definitely see why you feature her in many of your paintings! I love her pose in this and the coquettish way she's peaking from behind the feathers. The feathers are just plain incredible and look so real, and I especially love the way the white ends of them all layer over each other. They have such a natural flow to them and don't look arranged in the least. The fabric looks so incredibly real and silky, and it's wonderful the way you've captured the highlights and lowlights in it. The texture and shading of the skin is also incredible, especially the way you've captured the hands. They look incredibly photo-like and just so alive! Beautiful work as always, and I'm so glad to have found your work on Deviantart so long ago, because you are truly a master painter! I would really love to see your work in person one day, it's a shame you live so very far away!
