That's a most adorable way of drawing Sonic. I like the effects you used here - you didn't use a whole lot of them but also not too few. The smoke looks especially well done. Nice work on distorting the smoke at the spot he brakes. The eyes also look quite good.
Might I suggest an improvement? His right arm shouldn't be visible like that, I believe. It's appearing in front of the spines, whereas it should be behind, from that angle. Hiding it would probably be enough to fix it. Don't worry though, as that hardly lowers the drawing's quality.
Overall, I like this drawing a lot, it's a great piece of art.

A guy did a animated sonic spoof of sonic and shadow as babies and he used a catchphrase whenever sonic got something ie haha team work or that's the power of teamwork.
