Description
This is my first attempt at any sort of mattepainting. For those of you who don't know what that is, it consists of combining photo-manipulation techniques with painting. About 9 hours total.There was one main plate, and other numerous photos used for texture and debri, and extra buildings.
The smoke and monster are completely painted, and if you can't tell, then I did my job well. Personally I don't feel like he fits entirely just yet, but this is for school, and I can't afford any more time on it.
P.S.... Since they released the toy pictures, I can tell you that my design is not just off... but completely off! Yay!

I'm sorry. Not to be a pain in the ass or anything but I love every single thing about it. The best drawing of Cloverfield I've seen so far actually but the eyes are wrong. It's black. Sorry for being a perfectionist but it's true.

The pupils are undoubtedly aiming at the heli and the lights are on the outer edge- near the sclera. I think its just the lighting. I could be wrong, though- never actually seen the movie.

well i've seen it. the monster was created with black eyes and no pupils so you didn't know where it was looking. I know im getting annoying with this but i got bored and commented on minor details
