Description The sole surviving example of the Caledonian Railway 812 class, number 828 at the Severn Valley Railway's 2011 Autumn Gala on Saturday 29th September.

This 113 year old locomotive was easily the star of the event, despite the attempts of the recently built (and heavily publicised) Peppercorn A1 60163 "Tornado" to overshadow her.

This was, at least in my opinion, in no small part down to the fact that 828 actually made all the right noises!
Tornado, as a very powerful mainline locomotive, was heavily under-worked on the short trains, shallow gradients and 25mph speed limit - as someone who loves the sound of a hard-working steam locomotive, much less thrilling than the small blue Scottish locomotive that had to work hard the whole way.

A late upload, but I figured I'd add it anyway.
