Heyyy look, a dragon!! A Nalarian dragon to be exact. These guys are the Sister Skinchangers representing fire and heat. Their job is to monitor volcanoes (everything involving magma and lava really), forest fires and plains fires. They can withstand crazy hot temperatures and function best in really warm places, so much so that the vibrancy of their feathers relies on the surrounding climate. If it’s cold, their feathers turn brown or this sad beige kinda color.

Male second forms are smaller than their female counterparts on average, and sport more colorful feathers. Males in their human forms are generally shorter as well.

If anyone was wondering, Cal, Saeleion and Fassidine are all Nalarians. Saeleion is just the only one that can actually shift into his second form. Cal and Fassy both have the Unchanged Syndrome, which happens across all Sisters and messes up the energies that they feed from their planet, making it so that they can’t shift (and usually carry characteristics from both of their forms at once). Sometimes they still have that energy, but it’s funneled into their elemental manipulation abilities so they have stronger magics than their baked counterparts.

ALSO. LAST THING I PROMISE. They have service animal type creatures called Roon. All Nalarians are empaths (think Star Trek Betazoid) and shit got fucked up somewhere (a huge war that resulted in the deaths of millions of Nalarians) which makes their empathy very difficult to handle and very often painful, so they use Roon to help.
