Update: Fluff passed away October 1, 2014.
He was 10 years old (almost 11). I hope he is at the rainbow bridge with my wonderful and cute baby Kubrick (my Meyer's who passed away in May). This is a picture taken by me of my budgie named Fluff. Do not claim as your own, and don't use it for anything. Thank you. Copyright: Me, RadiantCharizard.
!NOTE! As I am extremely tired of receiving comments where people assume this budgerigar is female, I hereby am clarifying that this is a MALE budgerigar by the name of Fluff. His cere is not entirely blue because of his very light complexion, but this is indeed a male budgie. I have had him sexed.

He was a beautiful budgie, it was the anniversary of my Sonny's death a few days ago so I know how you feel. I noticed his purple cere is common in some mutations, but i've only seen it in very little birds. was he only young in this picture?

Yes, he was very beautiful. No, he was 3 years old in this picture. He lived for 11 years and his cere stayed the same until he got cancer and the cere got brown during the last year he lived. It was testicular cancer which deprived him of the male hormones, which made the cere brown. He was a male budgie. I had his blood sent in for DNA-testing when he was young, so there's no doubt. I've had 10 different budgies and have met hundreds of budgies. Albino budgies or budgies that are mostly white tend to have a purple-bluish cere when male and purple/pink-white when female. If you also look closer at his cere in this picture, you will notice he is blue around the nostrils.

You take great photos. Hum, I made a youtube video that teaches how to tell the genders apart and why pastels and recessive pieds are an exception to the standard rule. I think I'll post it on my group if I can.

Err... I shouldn't think so. I think I shot a beautiful picture of my budgie, and I find his expression quite neutral in this particular shot. I have other pictures where he looks 'happier', but everything cannot be 'happy go lucky' all the time, which is why I really like this picture of mine. I would appreciate it if you would refrain from commenting further on this deviation since it is not really giving me any helpful feedback.

You are not allowed to keep writing here since you are giving me useless feedback. I cannot obviously change the facial expression of my budgie, and as you find this picture too 'serious', I suggest you look at a different picture or do whatever you feel like except commenting further here. As your feelings about this picture do not stretch further than the facial expression of the animal in this picture, I don't value your opinion since it is not any useful feedback, and hence, I suggest you stop writing here. I hope that is clear enough.
