You're welcome ^^ Also, I thought I'd just quickly say that I watched the Rule of Rose Let's Play you linked me, and HOLY FUCK. I was up until 6:30 in the morning reading up on the plot and the characters so I could have a better grasp on what the hell was going on.
THE FIRST SILENT HILL MADE MORE SENSE THAN THIS DID BUT ERMAHGERD I LOVED IT.

I know, it was so sad! ;A; Poor Jennifer went through so much during the game. A lot of people were annoyed and complaining about the fact that she's a '19 year old woman' who's allowing her ass to get handed to her by a bunch of little kids throughout the game, BUT THEN IN THE END IT TOTALLY MAKES SENSE AND IT'S LIKE SOMEONE JUST PUTS A BRICK WALL IN FRONT OF YOU AND THEN YOU'RE LIKE 'WHAT THE SHIT JUST HAPPENED?'.

But srs, I felt so bad for her--and by the end of the game, at the same time you learn to respect her solely because that despite how badly she was treated, she carried no malice towards the other children and made no move of revenge against them, and she was able to keep a level head despite all the shit being thrown at her (until the end of the game where she stands up to the other children after making the biggest mistake of her life. POOR BABY. ;A;...).
Also, can I just say that out of all the children my favorite was Diana? Though she was a complete bitch, character-wise I liked her more than the other kids xD

yeah, its all just a memory from her childhood and its been twisted by all the shit that happened. WHOA.
She's really strong imo and it takes a lot of guts to stand up to people and not hold it against them. She held their memories in her heart and remembered the good times.
I bet after all that she needed a LOT of therapy though. oh gosh..
Diana is interesting. Her design is cool. I like Elanor's design best imo, but Jennifer forever wins my heart and her puppy Brown.

The cool thing about the game is that Jennifer's portrayed as a woman amongst, and against, a league of sadistic children. Some people say that the reason why she's a woman instead of a child is because it's grown-up Jennifer reviewing her memories and trying to make peace with them, and recall the reason why all of this happened to her while she was at the orphanage. Part of me thinks that in her memories, she views herself as a woman rather than a child because even while she was at the orphanage, she saw herself as someone who was more mature than the children around her--and it shows with how she reacts and deals with the shit that's thrown at her. She's definitely a strong character, where it takes more willpower to forgive when it's undoubtedly easier just to throw shit back at the people who did you wrong.
Oh yeah, Eleanor's character was interesting, too! How she's really portrayed as someone who doesn't let anything affect her, and she was impassive about losing her bird. It's like she had the sort of attitude where she knew it was coming, so she came to terms with the situation before it even happened--but still, she must have been worried about her bird, or she wouldn't have been going around looking for it. Hrmn.
Sorry for the long reply back xD Ever since I found this game, I've wanted to talk to someone about it's awesomeness and NONE OF MY FRIENDS KNOW WHAT THE HELL I'M TALKING ABOUT. Ngh.
