are you talking about your drawing? or the actual pokemon design? i think it applies more to the actual design honestly... a lot of this drawing actually helps me understand his actual anatomy (sorta)... i honestly hate the whole line... the fuxed up on this and drapion :/
i'd be very interested to see how you'd interpret drapion, but anyway, i LOVE the amalgamation of the many different crustacean/exoskeletal critters!

I meant the drawing, I like Skorupi/Drapion's designs even though they are kind of silly (Drapion in particular looks sort of like an accordion-muppet-thing.)
I'd imagine a realistic Drapion wouldn't be a whole lot different from the Skorupi but I dunno, I'd have to play with it I guess.

Adorable! I think you did a pretty good job, though there's something about the shadow underneath him that breaks the illusion. Getting shadows to look right on sand can be pretty hard. :/

This is true. I don't like the original Skorupi/Drapion design because they are muppetlike, making it hard to do a drawing where they look realistic. Good drawing, though. I probably couldn't do as well. I love the eyes!
