Have sun azimuth or angle less than 45 degrees so it more directed to the approach than the other side and not hit the two sides equally. This helps to define the edges more in terms of shades and shadows.

Yep, I know that, but I sometimes I put the sun on diferent positions, like in real life, I think it give's a more natural result and this is one of the things that make the scene more realistic, when you take a real picture, you don't have how to control the sun, so you need to control just the cam exposure ... And in some projects it's important to put the sun on it's real position to simulate the real illumination on the future construction. But thanks anyway!
