Some of these art prompts are hard. This is Calm. And I tried a new technique on it, although it's kind of hard to see, I used a solvent on the sky and water. It looks pretty cool in person.ΒI had to redraw this four times, to get it right, including adjusting the angle of teh transfer. And I have realized I need better paper, this cheap copy paper stuff is getting too hard to work with. I need a commission so I can get some good bristol.Β

how were you able to get the water texture?

This was a difficult piece for me, I can't exactly remember how I did it, I just know I made the greys on the log cooler under the water and warmer above the water.

Is she a Maine coonΒ because they like water, to quote Wikipedia "Many Maine Coons have a fascination with water and some theorize that this personality trait comes from their ancestors, who were aboard ships for much of their lives".

I never thought of that, I know a few Maine Coons, but they are both grey and black. Maybe she has some tiger ancestry? Tigers love water.
