  After the Storm King was defeated, Queen Novo and her people no longer had to hide as seaponies. While she, her daughter Skystar, and many others turned themselves back into hippogriffs, there are still several dozen who chose to stay in their underwater haven.

  Pinkie & Skystar became BFFs and pen pals when they were busy, but Sky started visiting Ponyville more often after reading Pinkie's enthusiastic descriptions of it. The two eventually fell in love, and had the biggest, bashiest, & craziest wedding Ponyville had ever seen. Queen Novo gave her daughter her blessing and allowed her to move to Ponyville permanently.

  Caramel Crunch here is Pinkie & Skystar's first born, 3/4 horse and 1/4 bird, giving him a beaked face. While unable to earn a cutie mark, he has made a name for himself as one of the best bakers in town - creating all kinds of delicious cookies, cakes, pastries, and pies. Caramel has a strange pallet, and often eats flavor combinations that others would find kinda gross. But, he also uses this to create unlikely and yummy flavor pairs to use in his cooking.

Being raised close by to his mom's friends, Crunch is close friends with Razor Wind , Berry Burst Sparkle , and Wood Burrow . Razor is a lot like a big sister to him, bonding due to their birdy heritage. Berry and Burrow are childhood friends of Caramel, and they often hang out together on weekends or when they're blowing off work.

Caramel's older brother Gumball was adopted when Cece was 4, and is the resident candy-maker at Sugarcube Corner. His demeanor is calm compared to the rest of his family, but he's still friendly and very approachable.
