I think it's amazing you were able to get such good work out of Blender.
Nicely done though.

Wow. I don't log onto DA for a few days and see what happens! I can't believe the response this piece is getting, let alone that it was chosen as a Daily Deviation.
Thanks everyone for the slew of great comments. As for some of the questions:
Blender is a free 3d modeling program that can be found at [link] , I would suggest it to anyone interested in getting into 3d modeling as it is a free way to get some great experience.
A few people noted a connection to Harry Potter that they see in the ouroboros ring, I have to admit that when I made this picture I had not read any of the Harry Potter books. It is a mistake that I have since rectified though and I see what you mean.

Woah! When I first looked at this I thought, "Wow, what a cool photo!" I still can barely believe that it's drawn. Utterly beautiful.

You know, this is absolutely amazing.. The realistic quality that just surrounds this piece is mezmerizing. I adore the contrasts between the two rings, but that they're still intrinsically connected to one another. ^^ The detailing, that make the rings look and feel real, is something that I haven't seen the likes of in such a long while. Your background is also, quite startling and should not be ignored even in the face of the rings themselves. A wonderful piece with a fitting title.

On the right ring... is that a serpent eating its tail? That's an important symbol in the Wheel of Time books.

What's most stunning about this, is all the flaws that make it look like old, hand crafted rings. Really, this is honestly, some of the best 3-D work I've ever seen.
I shall taking a gander at the rest in your gallery ^-^
Though, Blender, that's a program I haven't heard of before (of course I've heard of Maya and 3D studio Max)
About how much is the program itself?

Woooow... I wish I had the patience to learn how to use Blender. If that ring existed (does it?) I'd want one. Ouroboros is a cool snake.

that is awsome.
I think that if you don' have higher goals in life ,which I hope you do, becaue you've got amazing artistic talent, but if you don't you should go work at one of those magazines with headings like "Giant bigfoot proven to be decendent of jery spinger!!!"
you could make millions forging photos for them.
