Yay! Another vector! I'm on a roll! XD This one features Eureka and Renton from Eureka 7!
I was looking through my folder and found this awesome scan I had of these two. After looking at it for all of a minute, I decided it was time to sit down and do something creative! I haven't made a wallpaper since forever! >.< But I also haven't vectored anything in forever too, so I opted for the vector.

really good, hey i am trying out a program like photoshop, OC, and i never really understood the point of layers if you could jus color everything on one layer? 60 layers.... thats alot lol. good work

Yea, I didn't understand the use of layers at first too, but I quickly learned that it makes everything so much easier. If I mess up on a new layer rather than putting everything together, I can just delete the layer that I messed up instead of going through the hassle of trying to fix it!
Since I'm used to PS, making a new layer when I want to make something new just becomes habit now! =3

oh, so wait did u have like an outline of what u were going to do or just started from scratch? and what constitutes as worthy of a new layer? like the hair is one layer, the face another, etc?

No, I made the outline from scratch. I only had the picture to go by, if you can call that an outline. It just directed me with my pen tool to where there should be lines and not. For me, every new color was a new layer. The outline, (basically all the black) is on one layer, but the colors each had their own layer. And then I added in folders to help keep me organized since I separated the characters colors with a new layer rather than group together all the whites or blues or something.

oh nice, wow thats alot of layers lol, i do myn kinda different, jus one layer from the background and one for foreground lol. do you use a tablet? i dont have one lol, got to do everything by mouse

No, I don't have a tablet, I do mine by mouse too. I've only ever used a tablet once and that was during my Graphic Design class last year. And even then, it was just to doodle stuff. I don't think I'd be able to do vectors by tablet anyway. I think it'll probably make it harder for me since I'm so used to the mouse! XD
