I always wondered if Paul Reverie was in fact a satyr, one if by land and two by sea, he did not really new to ride a horse.

I love how there seems to be some sort of mischievious, badass story behind this guy. He's not your tyical woodland faun. Your character design skills rock!

"Who goes there!" The voice said to William as the young sorcerer felt the point of a sword touch his back. It was a typical greeting in the resistance these days, especially since the Imperials began purging the Senate.
The knife pressed a little too deep for William's comfort and he launched into the password without much prompting, "The slow dog catches a fast cat." He muttered. Between the chilly winter air and the sharp blade, his temper was wearing thin and he almost wished that the stranger standing behind him would get the challenge wrong. Fighting was better than freezing to death.
But the stranger answered quickly: "Not all cats are slow." William felt the blade disappear from his spine and he turned to see the strange, pointed face of his contact. "Nicolas of the Western Woods." The stranger said.
William stepped back to examine his new comrade, "I was expecting Ivan."
"Imperials got him four days ago." Nicolas said as he raised the fairy lantern in his hand, "Luckily I'm a much faster runner than your average Death Squad." As the purple glow revealed the other man's lower body, William suddenly realized that not all of the Satyr tribes had remained neutral during the war.
Nicolas handed the lantern over to William as they began the long journey into the night. "I'm glad you showed up when you did." The satyr muttered as he rubbed his scalp, "I got sick of filing down my horns and wearing those long robes. The less human I look, the better I feel."
