A little painting for the wonderful Oshun in celebration of her 100th character bio at SWG. Her bios are remarkable feats of Tolkien scholarship, delving deep into the source material - and not shying away from addressing popular fanons or speculations about the character in question. This is something I regularly miss when reading bios on one of the encyclopedic sites, and therefore appreciate a lot.

This piece, however, isn't inspired by one of Oshun's bios but rather (vaguely) by her fic "False Spring" (the mood more than any specific scene). Maedhros and Fingon, surveying the land and making plans - or maybe just cheerfully talking upon the parapets of Himring. A moment of high hope and confidence... before everything goes pear-shaped.
