fair warning real quick: i just got back from a four-day trip, so all this may or may not make sense. best of luck reading lol.

okay, so! this is a drawing of one of my favorite wof ocs, but as a teenager/young adult---like, eight years old or so. at this point in his life, he's a passionate artist who is also the son of a gang leader. he's clever and emotional and focused---but can still be humorous and lighthearted---and makes a point in finishing what he sets out to do. turquoise's mean, intense dad doesn't approve of his son spending the majority of his time on art instead of gang work, so their relationship...isn't really the best, to put it nicely.

turquoise can make friends pretty easily, even with other gang members, but his longtime best friend is a girl his age named Sandrose. she's similar to turquoise, but softer, braver, and more stubborn. the two met and became friends when they were tiny, at the nursery, and stayed with each other well through school. one day, sandrose told turquoise she wanted to join the outclaws, like her parents, and...from that point on, to keep their parents off their scents they had to act like they'd just grown apart. thankfully, the two of them are both brilliant, so they've figured out how to still routinely hang out and lean on each other when they're feeling crappy.

to be clear, turquoise doesn't want to be a part of his dad's gang, or do any sort of crimes, for that matter---but that doesn't mean he spies on his dad for sandrose and the outclaws, or actively works against his own gang (which, thankfully, sandrose is okay with; after all, she doesn't want to rat him out and have her best friend end up in jail. turquoise's own natural family loyalty holds him back from doing so as well, regardless of how frustrating it is for him). still, all turquoise wants to do is get out of the city and spend his life making art, preferably with sandrose in the picture.

and that's kind of it. up to the present of them being teenagers/young adults, at least. i've already got more in store for these guys, but this is all i'll write for now. thanks for the interest
