Description There was the sun bathing its warm rays down upon the ground, Starly chirped happily as they fluttered among the Pecha berry trees that they nested in, and a soft breeze carried the scent of fresh, cool air that helped a few lazy clouds drift across the sky. Yes, it was a picture perfect setting on a summer afternoon. And the complete this picturesque moment was a pair of love struck Dewotts holding hands as they made their way to the comforting shade of a nice Pecha berry tree. One, the male, wore a pair of blades on his back call kodaichi, one in particular having a red spiral seashell tied to it by a piece of thread, and carried a little wicker picnic basket. The other, female, wore a similar looking seashell of yellow around her neck and giggled excitedly as she looked up at her boyfriend with sparkling green eyes.

Now under the safety of the whispering braches of their tree, they each dug into their picnic basket to fetch a few things they packed. First came the red and white checkered blanket to set upon the ground. Rachael, the female Dewott, took her time to carefully smooth out the corners so the blanket lay flat before they sat down next to each other upon it. Taichi, the male, gently pulled Rachael closer to him till their lips met in a light yet passionate kiss.

"I'm so glad we finally got a day to see each other again," Rachael said, "It's been too long."

Taichi smiled in agreement, "Far too long. With both our masters so busy, it feels like you and I never see each other enough."

"Teehee, it was such a fun surprise to see you at the PEF though," Rachael reminded him of the time Taichi had broken in the PEF HQ just to visit his girlfriend.

"You're welcome."

"I heard Jake mention that one of the Admins chewed out some the security on letting on lone Dewott bypass their entire security force. He said that they would be pulling extra training sessions for a week."

Taichi frowned, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause them so much trouble."

Rachael giggled again, "Don't worry about it. The Admins said that they were considering asking you master if he wanted to join the PEF, seeing how strong his pokemon are alone."

It was Taichi's turn to laugh now, "Wow, that's a random offer. But I don't think Stephon would do it, you know, being a famous pop star and all."

They both laughed at the joke for a little while, just enjoying each other's company. That moment was interrupted though by a low rumbling noise and quick blush from Rachael.

"Oops, I kinda skipped breakfast this morning. I was just so excited for our date today that I rushed myself to get here."

"I guess it was a good idea to have a picnic then, huh Rachael?"

Rachael happily nodded as Taichi dug into the picnic basket and fished out two sandwiches and lemonade for each of them.

"Thank you Taichi!"

"You're welcome."

The two of them continued to enjoy the pleasant afternoon that they planned. Their picnic and their time together only getting better with each passing moment in each other's presence.

"Hey, Rachael?" Tai said after finishing off the last of his lemonade.

"Yeah Tai?"

"I just wanted to say, that meeting you was the best thing that's ever happened to me," Tai blushed, "And I have a little present for you."

Rachael squealed inside her head with Taichi's words, but insisted against Tai's offer of a present for her.

"You've already given me so much Tai, you didn't have to get me anything."

Taichi ignored Rachael's protests and dug into the picnic basket again and withdrew his 'gift'. Rachael gasped, she couldn't even begin to describe how she felt when she saw the hand sized, blue seashell that glittered brightly in the sunlight before her. She carefully cradled the delicate thing in her hands, examining every little pattern she saw in the glittering flakes.

"Oh my gosh, Tai, where did you get this?"

"It was nothing, really. My master owns a time share on the beach front, so when we went to take a break there, I found this and immediately thought of you."

This was only half true though. Sure, his team went to vacation on their private beach spot like he said, but that's where the truth stopped. Instead of just 'happening' upon the seashell like he said, he had actually spent almost an entire day looking for the perfect seashell to give to Rachael. But what Rachael didn't know wouldn't hurt her. Just to see her this happy was all he wanted; plus the extra affection he got didn't hurt either.

"Thank you Tai, this is beautiful," Rachael nuzzled next to Tai, "I actually have a present for you as well."

Rachael unhooked one of her Scalchops and removed a small bottle with a smooth clear liquid inside that she hid underneath it. She handed it over to Tai; he turned it over a couple times to study it.

"It's a special polish for your kodaichi," Rachael explained, "Not only is it supposed to clean the blades, but it also adds a special layer of gloss that strengthens the blades themselves."

Taichi looked at the little bottle in surprise and eagerness, "Thank you Rachael, this is a perfect gift."

Rachael smiled and gave Tai a light peck on the cheek, "This day has been just perfect."

Taichi chuckled, "Oh, it's not over yet."

'There's more?!'

"Stephon's sister helped me make this extra special," Taichi said, leaning back to get something out of the picnic basket once more, "It's a Pecha berry cheese cake for dessert. I know I'm not the best at cooking, but I think…this turned out…ok?"

Taichi scrunched his eyebrows together; he had been reaching further and further around his back for the picnic basket that was no longer there. Both he and Rachael looked behind them to confirm that their picnic basket was indeed, gone. That was strange though as neither of them had moved it and it wasn't like the picnic basket had gotten up and walked away. Or could it?

They searched their surroundings for the missing basket, but there was no trace what so ever. They had almost ruled it as some kind of paranormal anomaly when the tree branches above them quivered and let a few leaves fall around them. Their heads leaned up in unison to find a pink scarf dangling just above. Even more interestingly, was that the scarf was attached to a certain hungry eyed Swampert dangling from the branches upside down with their picnic basket in one hand and a piece of cheese cake pinched in his mouth.

"Marcus, what the heck are you doing here?!" Tai strained to keep his voice even as annoyed anger slowly built up inside him.

Marcus gulped down the last slice of cheese cake so he could answer, "Sorry man, just seeing that food…I got hungry and I couldn't help myself."

"That doesn't answer my question."

"You big off, you just had to go and ruin their date," A dark red Blaziken stormed out to scold the Swampert, "Just couldn't think with your head and not your stomach. I swear, all guys are the same."

"Haze?" Rachael reeled, recognizing her friend, "What are you doing here?"

Haze instantly backed off the Swampert when the little Dewott addressed her. She and Marcus had actually come to see how their friends were doing in their relationship. But she couldn't just come out and say they were 'spying' on them, what kind of friends did that?

"I, um, well I caught this idiot snooping around, so I followed him here just as he stole your picnic basket."

"No you didn't, you said we should go see-eeeEEE-oomph!"

Marcus never finished his statement as Haze kicked the tree and knocked the Swampert out of the branches and let him fall hard on his back to the ground. Haze quickly gathered the Swampert up by a leg and dragged him off, bidding the two Dewotts a farewell. Tai just face-palmed while Rachael helped him calm down.

Well, it was almost a perfect day

Wow man I really loved this, its so great to see them back together again. Great job man, simply great

Haha me, join the P.E.F!!! I'm flattered but I'm not the orginization type, your admin would be chewin me out every other day for something I did, plus I don't know how I'd be able to balance that and my music career. So I must respectfully decline, but if you ever need any outside help, I'm always here.

It's not really a time share. My label owns a section of the beach so that any of its performers can get away for a bit wothout getting flanked by the papparazzi.

Wow, that polish will do wonders for Tais blades!

Tai actualy asked Toni to help him with the cake. But Toni's gonna be awfully sore that Marcus ate the cake they made for the date.

Oh by the way, Marcus's bandanna is actually red, not pink ^^
