Started watching Dragon Ball.It's great. Better by far than Dragon ball Z.
I was genuinely surprised. I was a little tentative going in, thinking that we might spends episodes of (not so powerful characters) charging up their chi.
But nay! It's a wacky string of outlandish adventures peppered with truly, filthy, sophomoric sense of humour. I mean....during a tournament bout between Jackie Chun and Krillin, they fight so fast the commentator stops the fight and let them reenact the entire fight in slow-mo.

Dragon Ball is great, just one thing that though... there's no Gohan, he's my favorite character. That's why I've been rewritting the Dragon Ball series with 11 year old Gohan from the future on my fanfiction. Ask me if you want the details of it. Anyway, great picture.

Well, I feel as a show a lot of it hinged on Goku looking for adventure. Gohan, for me, felt like a bookish character who really enjoyed staying home. That's just my opinion.

Gohan reminds me of myself, that's why he's my favorite character: likes books, stays home, born on the month of May, both of our names means 'rice' and we're both timid but scary once angered. Dragon ball was far better written than DBZ as it didn't have repeating storyarchs, overpowered characters left and right, and there was more use of the skills and abilities the characters had rather than just blasting your foe with an energy beam. Just wondering though, Bulma seems like a 10 year old here when she was in her late teens at the start of the series.

Actually this started out as a quick sketch, then I inked it and kept going.
I really didn't practice much on the characters. When I get back to drawing the Dragon Ball characters I'll make more of an effort on aging her up.
