A reference quickie drawing for a 7-step demo at Anindo. Original photo by Sally Mankus: [link]It's been a while since I did anything from reference (since last semester actually), but I loved this quick exercise anyway. Ignored all the texture and just tried getting the overall gesture and value right. Took me about 2-3 hours which would be quicker if I wasn't surfing the internet and chatting XD This is my first digital reference drawing, and I must say it's somewhat easier... but I actually think I got used to charcoal O_O

*jaw drop* Ah! I love the shading, and even more the use of light. I love the wrinkles, I love feeling implied with the one hand helping the other. 'tis beautiful!
