My very first DeviantArt! I wanted to make a statement, so I chose Dizzy, my Toon Patrol ("Who Framed Roger Rabbit") fan character! You can read her story here - [link]

Well, it was kind of a long process. I knew I wanted a Toon Patrol OC, and I knew I wanted it to be a jill who would eventually be Smart Guy's girlfriend. I decided very quickly that she should be very tough, and I realized that would work well if she came from a rough background like the bad parts of New York. The New York background also made it a little easier for her to relate to Smart Guy, which was necessary for the building of their eventual relationship. I thought it would be more interesting and less Mary-Sue if her nature was more adamant, independent, and stubborn, so that not only would she not let herself fall in love with Smart Guy right away, but it would also strain their relationship at times. My main goal was to make her a flawed character and avoid perfection and "Mary-Sueness". Dizzy's "voice" naturally came out in the first person, and once I started writing her character began to develop on its own. It's still developing to this day!
