Who killed liberty and justice?
Who smothered the freedom of speech?
What happened to Lady Liberty and her Golden Door?
Is this land not worth protecting anymore?
Who opened the floodgates from other lands?
Who snatched the light from Freedom's hand?
Where did the path to the future go?
What happen to the dream that never grew old?
Am I some product of another time?
Am I the only one who feels the pride?
Do you see what I see when I see the flag?
Does anybody care?
What happened to the pursuit of happiness,
To not excepting circumstances?
What happened to working our way to the top,
And then helping others to stand?
Has the dream died?
Who killed it?
Where are the workers?
Does it even matter?
There's no place to work anymore.
What happened to honesty and a hard days work?
Why do we need these fancy degrees?
They don't make a person smarter.
You could learn just as much by reading a book.
It costs you less money too.
What happened to men of Character,
Leading us on our way?
What happened to "We the people"?
Surely they're turning in the grave.
