Description This is a screenshot of a final project for one of my university topics that I've been taking this semester as an elective.

The project had to use the 3D modeling software Maya, and our group proposal was of a giraffe running to an oasis and having a drink of water.

Unfortunately one group member didn't complete any work towards the project and pulled out at the last minute. The other group member didn't complete the background scene you can see on the left until the night before the project was due. This gave me about 5 hours to try and do some animation. Unfortunately the quality is very poor so I won't be submitting that here.

Anyway, the giraffe is called Jaffy. I was responsible for all modeling and rigging for the giraffe, and also animation, lighting, camera movement and rendering for the scene. The other two group members were responsible for the background scenery (modeling and textures).

So some details on Jaffy:
- Polygon modeled giraffe based on cubes and spheres
- Rigged using Maya's skeleton and joint features with IK constraints

Done over 10 weeks, and many many hours.
Rather disappointed with the result.
