I don't usually think about fandom drama, but whenever one of my favorite artists says that they're stressed out about a fandom, I'm like "Bro, c'mon you're better than this."
Anyway, there's more stuff I couldn't fit in there because they would make the humor clunky:
- Every community will have some bad people in it. There's no way around that.
- Taking on the responsibility of keeping a fanbase good is unrealistic and way too much pressure.
- There have been crazy fanatics since the Shakespearean era, and probably before then (Fun Fact that I learned in college: Audience members of some Shakespeare plays would attack actors who played a villain after the play was over, or harass the actors to change the story, altogether, if they didn't like where it was going.)
- Remember that you have a whole life outside of fandoms.
- A lot of the drama you see isn't even that bad. It just gets magnified by rumors and word of mouth.
