After a fabulous fabric dying class (see more about that on the blog: [link] ) we headed out with my friend and her boyfriend for her birthday dinner at a fabulous hibachi grill! And being the fabulous women we are, we figured why not dress the part!
She lent me this amazing sequined velvet mandarin collar dress, it was super comfy and gorgeous! My camera battery died on me before I could get photos at the restaurant, but once we got back to our hotel I decided to play with the lighting to really bring out the sequin sparkle

And the dress, well, I always loved gold on black. Plus, the dress is a work of art, and I love mandarin collars. But THAT opening right under the neck is something pertaining to Asian-style dresses, far as I know, and it is better than stomach-deep cleavages, I think.
So yeah, kickass dress.
