Personality: She may seen grumpy, but she's happy when with friends. She's not really into fashion, but she enjoys wearing a pretty dress. Even though she prefers using her armor. She's in love with the night. And knows almost everything it is to know about astrology.

Cutie mark story: She got her cutie mark at the first year of guard school. It was late night, and she had spent the evening looking at and mapping the stars when she heard a whimper. She quickly ran over to see that a colt was being beaten up by two other colts. As she told them to stop, the two colts looked at her flank. Wondering what they where looking at, she turned to look for herself. It was glowing bright white, like before a pony get it's cutie mark. But it was only glowing, nothing else. taking advantage of the others distraction, she kicked both the bullies, leaving them laying at the ground. Then she smiled at the colt that was being bullied and ran away. When she came home, the glowing had stopped, and her cutie mark reviled itself. It was a silver shield with a white star on it. The shield represented how she protected others, and the star represented her love for astrology.

Bio: Glimmer shield grew up in Canterlot with her family. as a filly she didn't have that many friends, so after school, she used to fight other colts. and of course she one every single one of them. she only lost to her older brother. she knew early that she wanted to be a royal guard, and met her best friend at guard school. she graduated a few days after Princess Luna returned. because her love for the night, she actually planned to be one of Luna's guards, but became one of Celestia's night guards instead.
