Description
We did another excursion for our river-alphabet project a few days ago. The name of the creek near the Lower Austrian village of Blindenmarkt is, according to locals, Holzbach, after a hamlet called 'Fürholz'. Although it is a quite small river, there is a huge retention basin (which can be seen on the picture above) before it reaches the plains, because the lowland around Blindenmarkt is prone to flooding.
