Just some concept sketches for a crossover fan fic I've been working on with grown-up Powerpuff Girls and other Cartoon Network characters. Kind of an unconventional pairing, I'll admit, but with Mandark's huge crush on Dee-Dee I figure he just has a thing for blondes, and I don't picture Dee-Dee ever being interested.
I showed this to a friend and she said it reminded her of Leonard and Penny from the Big Bang Theory and I couldn't help but laugh. I guess it would be a similar dynamic, but I feel like Bubbles would be a lot sweeter and more sensitive than Penny.
Okay, okay I know Mandark is supposed to be a villain, but honestly I never really saw him as "evil," just more like a 13-year-old edge lord type. I knew guys like Mandark in high school and college. I DATED guys like Mandark in high school and college. LOL. Most of them eventually grow out of that flavor of pretentiousness.
