Rhanull's Goat, Shepherd's Curse, Hearthnecks, and Chompers are some of the names given to these guys. They're similar to a mix of a workhorse, goat and alpaca. They produce massive amounts of fur, especially around their collar, females produce modest amounts of milk all year round, and significant amounts during and after pregnancies, they can be used as mounts and draft animals, their meat is perfectly edible, and in a pinch they are very competent combatants. In short, they are the perfect domestic animal, or they would be if it weren't for their aggressive nature. No matter how much training it goes through, a hearthneck will always lash out when approached by strangers, and its handlers will have to assert their dominance every single time they interact with it, lest they risk being mauled by the animal.

They are very rare and sought after, and feral goats are even more rare. Domestic hearthnecks will eat anything they're fed, although they do require a steady diet of meat to survive, whereas their feral counterparts will move in packs, hunting like wolves or living off cadavers.
