Looking at the comments made me realize how hard it is to upload artistic references on dA is.
Fuck's sake people. I am guilty of throwing my few pennies in out of sheer frustration, but really, just shut your gob and draw.

No body type is really normal ovo unless you mean it like "Average" which is very different depending on location, so I have to agree on you with that.

Perfect lingery model shape, tiny waist, perky tits, round, tight ass, normal? Perhaps in the porn industry. There is no normal or average female body up there.

"Normal" spans over quite a diverse range. Just because it's not your body, doesn't mean it isn't someone's. It happens to be that particular artist's ideal, and I HAVE seen people who have bodies like that in real life. Sorry, but "normal" isn't limited to "must have saggy breasts and slight chub or else it's totally fake". I have a body that looks close to that, just with smaller breasts. Does that make me abnormal? My best friend has a body JUST like that. We're normal. We're not underweight, we're healthy, we're happy, and we're normal.

ADHDnoJutsu In reply to MagicaRin [2015-09-26 20:53:09 +0000 UTC]
It's not because it's someone's, that it's normal. Any body is someone's body. A body without limbs is someone's body, doesn't make it the norm. The fact that a body type exists or that you have it or have seen it, doesn't make it normal. None of the bodies displayed, fit the norm or the average. And nobody said that a body that isn't classically perceived as beautiful, is the only normal or real type.
There's nothing wrong with not falling within the normal or average, so there's no need to be offended or defensive. The fact that it's your reality, simply doesn't make it the NORM, or else an albino could determine that albinism is the norm, but how many pale, white-haired people with reddish eyes do you see? The word normal comes from "norm" and "norm" is what is most wide typical. None of the body types of the women drawn, fits that description. We have here: morbidly obese, excessively muscular, severely underweight, and beauty ideal. Ideals have never been in a situation where they were an accomplished norm. That's why they're ideals. The extremely narrow waist by itself disqualifies this body as "normal" (most common), because seriously, no, most women do not have that kind of waist. So what. Why so eager to be considered normal? What's it matter?
By your logic, morbidly obese would be normal because I have been morbibdly obese and seen others just like it.
Nope, no "normal" as in most common female bodies here. And no need to take that negatively. I haven't attacked any one type. I merely stated the fact that none of those represent the norm, ie. majority. Look up the definition of the word:
www.google.co.il/search?q=norm…
It says right there that it means "standard", but if that were the standard female body, those same proportions wouldn't be described as the difficultly attainable ideal. And they are. You just happen to be that type.

As they said, just because it isn't yours doesn't mean you have to bash it.
That is a healthy build. Sure, it's as healthy as you can go, but it's perfectly fine. I mean, seriously- now we're bashing healthy bodies?

ADHDnoJutsu In reply to sapphiremantis [2015-09-26 22:29:40 +0000 UTC]
I didn't bash it by saying it wasn't normal. That's like saying that only normal is good, which is absurd. When was I bashing? Seriously, I'm not following.

I'm not surprised, tbh.
And I wasn't implying than anything else was bad, it just sounded like you had a strong hate for healthy bodies. (Just so you know, I'm speaking about the build itself. Not the breasts or waist, though I suppose the waist could factor into a build.) Finally, I'm not saying that anything else isn't healthy.

MagicaRin In reply to ADHDnoJutsu [2015-09-26 21:22:26 +0000 UTC]
"Average" is standard. Normal is normal. Normal weight range would constitute that body type, along with a variety of others. I was going off of a normal weight range, which seems to be what this artist was striving for, as well. They just so happened to use their preference for a specific NORMAL body type. My body is normal, anyone with that body is normal. Back a few decades ago, women with that body type were fairly common. Eating and physical habits have changed, but it doesn't mean that it abolishes that body type. That's what that artist considers normal, and so do many others.

Anorexic isn't a body type, it's a mental disorder.

I know. But some girls and boys are naturally skinny and it's hard for them to gain weight. Asians born in Asian countries are naturally skinny, and they're often pressured to be thin by their OWN FAMILIES.

Actually there are two ways anorexia can be diagnosed. Firstly if your BMI is below 18.5 %. That is the physical criteria. Then you are classified with anorexia. You can also be diagnosed with anorexia if your mindset fits the criteria. I know that fat people can have anorexia and anything in between but I would say that Anorexic can be a body type, due to it's dual standards to pass as anorexic.
When a doctor says "The patient is anorexic." It can be assumed that the patient has BMI below 18.5 %. However people often complain about this since girls who go to doctors to be diagnosed for help often don't fit the physical criteria even if they are having severe thoughts and behavioral problems which are identified by anorexia nervosa. In medical language, that isn't inaccurate.

Man, this is awesome! I wish I had the money to sign up on patreon just to get these! I have seen a few tutorials on different body shapes but none with this wide of verity. And I love how you kept them looking real and not over emphasized (i.e. the overweight male/female hardly looking like an actual body and more like a pile of bumpiness).
I'm shaped like the second female over in the middle row (the overweight female) and I respect you so much more for making it look so good; but not disgusting like I've seen people do. I personally thank you for that.
