I agree with vindurza! Only Tim Curry could capture the evil of Dark Opal. Gorgeous piece! I wish they would do more with Amethyst and Gemworld. It was a very underappreciated comic. A diamond in the rough.

It's from a short called "Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld". It aired in January during Young Justice.

This is close to his original design in the comic. I'm not so skilled drawing dudes, and I just didn't feel right messing with Ernie Colon's design.

The use of the cape as the limit of the page is a great design - really enjoy the colors used as a way to define each character against one another.
