I believe the color of the magic is a pony's eye color...then again, Celestia's is officially yellow but her eyes are purple...

Same goes for Cadence, Luna and Shining Armor. MLP Wiki said something about the most prominent color of their cutie mark, but Flim and Flam have green magic, to match their eyes, as apposed to red like the main color of their cutie mark.

I guess certain magic colors run in the family(Twi and Shining same color) or go according to cutie mark.

Hmmmm...So, how exactly do you do it? You just mess around with the paintbrush tool right?

Anyway, it reminds me of the beaming effect in the new Star Trek bollocks!

I'll surely mix Trixie and Twilight... Trixies is just so Twilight looking and Twilight too pink.
I love love love however Celestia's and Luna's! Celestia is so like a sparkly sun and Luna is dark and rainy shooting star.

Trixie's colors aren't final. I kinda rushed a bit and ignored the eyedropper tool when choosing the color.

Twilight's color is actually canon, so that has to stay.

I think you should change Sweetie bell's to a purple or pinkish color because it looks really similar to Spike's and the Changeling's so someone might get confused.

I would, but that would break the (limited) consistency in the colors.

The glow is based on either the color of the eye's iris, or the dominant color of the cutie mark. I have Sweetie's mark as all black, so that can't work. So it has to be the color of her eyes.

I didn't use the eyedropper tool for Spike's fire, so the color isn't final.

The changeling glow has black swirls. I think that you can tell the difference.
