I had an urge to draw more supernatural sukeban!

I've had these characters in the background of the anime RP for a while, and was able to play them a bit near the end of the campaign. I should be able to play them more fully whenever we re-visit it.

Muriko and Tomo, there's a bit of a story there. A few decades ago When Tomo (on the right) was alive she took in a starving and sick stray calico cat and nurtured her back to health. Little did she know that the cat was actually a bakeneko (sort of supernatural spirit/goblin cat), and out of appreciation, and love, the bakeneko stayed around as a cat, keeping an eye on her. When Tomo became a teenager she wound up in a delinquent girl gang (sukeban). So her cat secretly took on human form, calling herself 'Muriko' ('difficult/impossible child') and joined the sukeban as well... to keep an eye on Tomo who was putting herself into more danger. In her human form she befriended Tomo again, her 'owner' still being oblivious to her cat's true nature.

Of all things it wasn't the gang fights that killed Tomo, but a serial killer. The killer targeted young women/teens and Tomo was never found. (There is a tie in with a hostess Valkyrie who guards over women in Kabukicho. I only have non-scanned pictures of her but may draw her digitally someday.)

Being that bakeneko don't really age, 'Muriko' kept to the sukeban lifestyle, occasionally disappearing for a couple of years as a cat to return again when the pool of teen delinquents was refreshed... so they didn't really know her from an earlier gang. She still watches over the alleyway that Tomo haunts. (Usually members of delinquent gangs retire from the gang when the turn 20. So just wait a few years and it's all fresh teens who wouldn't know you.)

Anyhow, that's their background story. Recently during a roleplayed 'sukeban vs. yakuza' gang war in Kabukicho these two were finally brought into the foreground for awhile. I barely had a chance to RP them and am looking forward to it in the future.

(Gotta love the scene with yakuza in a panic room thinking they are safe from the sukeban girls who turned out to be supernaturals. Then a ghost sukeban floats through the wall to drain the life from them. XD )
