Woo! I've been itching to post some of my Darksiders II work. You can view the opening cinematic video to the game for an idea of how everything looks in motion here: [link]I had the lovely opportunity to art direct the 2D cinematics that appear in the Darksiders II video game (as well as storyboarding many of the 3D cutscenes). Along with art directing, I handled a large percentage of the illustrations, animation, and compositing. The great Joe Madureira himself supplied thumbnail boards! The above screenshots are some examples of my personal work on the project.
The project was a blast to work on, and I feel extremely lucky to have worked in tandem with the ridiculously talented crew at Vigil Games.
In case you're curious, the artwork was created in Photoshop, and compositing in After Effects.

Too bad about Vigil, hopefully Darksiders ends up somewhere so that we can see a conclusion to this story.

I am so lucky! I came across your gamer girl image on tumblr and was fortunate enough to see it on the front page of DA. Then I see here that you made the cinematic art for Darksiders 2!
Sorry if it seems like I'm fangirling a bit much but Darksiders 2 is one of my favorite games and I'm just so happy to find one of the people who contributed to the project. I especially loved the art for the cinematic sequences.
It's just a pity that the future for the Darksiders series seems so bleak now. With THQ gone as well as Virgil games, I don't know if we'll ever see another game for the series. I would of loved seeing a Darksiders 3.

Awesome Artwork! Joe Mad and your work really sold me on that game. I own the latter but haven't gotten time to play it yet but I look forward to play it. Just want to go through the 1st one before I start DS2.
Are the 3rd and 6th picture in the game? Any chance you have them in higher res? That would be awesome!
