83. HealMore openCanvas experimentation. I like the way the face and hair came out, but for some reason I don't think his body matches.
Spent a good amount of hours on this, but the laziness still shows. >_> Shouldn't do these in one sitting...
Heh, no lineart because I didn't want to make clean lineart. :/
Yeay flower. Yes, this is a dude. It's Deian. (more orignal characters) D: No cool pose either.

I think I know why It looks weird...
the head and the body look as if they were not his....
that's because the way you colored the head looks too smooth for the rest of the body.
you didn't keep the coloring style, specially in the skin of the fece. that's why it looks as if the body don't match.
but that style looks good. Hope you can manage to solve this problem ^^ I am looking forward to see more of your art when you perfect this technique...

To me, it's the eyes that are really popping out. If you're concerned about the black lines, use something a bit more muted. A brown perhaps?
Your hair is actually consistent with the rest of the body, it's really just the eyes that are coming out too strongly.
Otherwise, this is really a pleasant piece to look at. It looks almost like a water colour painting, or like you toyed with gouache

I think the body looks fine in terms of painting. The only thing that really stands out is the black lines you used for the nose and mouth.

Maybe a little more contrast would help out the hair if you're unhappy with it. Straight, clean hair tends to be pretty darn shiny, so a nice highlight or two would perk it up.

Yeah, the harmony between the way the face and hair were painted and the body isn't in sync. Definately looks like much time was spent on the face and too little on the body.

Actually, it's the other way around.
The face took less time, but it has smoother blending... and the body has more colors but less blending and less contrast at the edges... but I ramble.
