When she was 16, Yarlee Brosca was so charming that she had no trouble seducing - and later marrying - a Cadash from the Merchant class in order to secure her and her family a better position in Orzammar.
However, her hot-headed and independant nature, and her former connections to the Carta, soon caused troubles with her husband and his family and they had to divorce. Certain that her son was in a better place with a wealthy family than with her shady business, and that she’d rather be an absent mother than a bad one, she left Orzammar for the Surface.
She couldn’t have known that when her ex-husband remarried, her son would earn a very hostile step-family that would make his life at home a nightmare, leading him to hit the streets and hang with a bad crowd that would spiral into criminality. This same underground network, however, finally brought them back together and they started a new family life on the Surface’s roads.
