Description This is just speculation on a possible ending storyline for ASoIaF - what if that prophecy about the giant in the snow castle meant that Sansa is eventually going to face unGregor in Winterfell? Poetic justice - if you believe in Sansa/Sandor and a bit of knight/damsel in distress role reversal - would be having her burning Gregor finally to death. I guess. Idk, I had fun doing the red highlights - there's also a fake!pulp novel cover version of this if you like it: [link]

I just want that dude dead. Like, now. He needs to die, preferrably by fire, Sandor's sword, or at the hands of Sansa.

Excellent work by the way. Love the colors. I wish I could do art like this.

Thanks! Well it's just a VERY random theory/wishful thinking, but you never know, I guess!

I had those theories too- but if you've read a Feast for Crows? You've already seen the snake haired maiden killing the giant in a castle of ice- Sansa ripped Robert Arryn's toy, which he called "giant" after he used it to smash her snow castle winterfell in the Eyrie. Unless that was just misdirection . . . but I don't think it was. I remember being all excited about that prophecy, then reading that chapter and not initially realising and then being all "HOLD THE PHONE!" and having to go back . . . a bit of an anticlimax, really. But I expect great things from Sansa in the long run. She has her mothers brains rattling around in there somewhere . . .

Yeah, I know that that was a likely explanation for the prophecy, but since this was made for a themed challenge for possible ASoIaF endings, I thought it was a cool scenario I could use anyway Thanks for stopping by!

:[ *drama *

Neat idea! My theory is that Jon Snow is Rhaegar Targaryen's and Lyanna Stark's son, hence Lyanna's "bed of blood," fever, and Eddard's promise to her. SO WHAT HAPPENS IS THIS: Jon Snow somehow ends up marrying Daenerys Targaryen, thereby jump-starting the Targaryen inbreedin' lovin' and fulfilling the SONG OF ICE (Jon) AND FIRE (Dany). Together they rule both the Free Cities and the Seven Kingdoms! MUAHAHAHA

I AM PROBABLY CRAZY

No, you're not crazy - it's probably the most popular theory about ASoIaF that I know of Personally, I hope that the game of thrones gets screwed and Westeros becomes a republic in the end, but I know I am delusional XD

That's not impossible, given Dany's and Jon's moral leanings. I'd expect maybe more along the lines of a constitutional monarchy, though, with a parliament alongside the king and queen.

With regard to theories -- what the freak do you think is going on with Catelyn (the whole undead thing)? Also, what do you think of the casting choice for her (Jennifer Ehle)? I'm pretty pleased with it -- you can see a portrait I painted of Catelyn months ago in my gallery, and I imagined her looking rather like Ehle does, so I'm tickled.

Pojypojy In reply to wendystolyarov [2009-09-03 21:43:09 +0000 UTC]

Uhhh honestly I imagined Cat to be more stern looking while Ehle is more on the soft/sweet side, but those who are familiar with her acting say she can do stern just fine, so I guess I'll wait and see her in character.

Well, I don't think unCat has any other meaning than showing us what the cult of the red priests can do - with Beric, Drogo, and, probably, Gregor, she'd be the fourth character that's been brought back from the dead. Not to count the Others behind the wall. I don't have a Great Unifying Theory for this buuuut it's a fact that there are a lot of resurrections in these books

I'm not original, it's true! But the theory is so dratted CONVINCING.
