I love this. For some reason I can't take my eyes of Lily and James' photo. Maybe because it is colourful and the mood contrasts with the dreary environment that Snape is in.
Reading the book I find it hard to accept Snape's love for Lily because that would mean Snape believed in all that Voldemort nonsense. He allows himself to turn a blind eye on Lily's background because he is so captivated by her beauty and her willingness to befriend him. I mean hey, a scraggly looking boy who has a gorgeous girl for a friend ... well how can Snape but not be blinded by the fact that she is muggleborn? Here I thought he was your bad-turned-good guy simply because he had enough of it and not because he is i-lost-my-love-one-and-now-i-should-DIEEEE kind of guy.
I want to so much strangle JK Rowling for showing Snape as such a person and beat up Snape himself for being a nasty git that everyone says he is.
