NEW AND IMPROVED ONE HERE

Kichi (Kee-chee) ✦ she/her ✦ Air affinity ✦ Elegant whiskers ✦ Tower Stance

 Meep App: (Approved) Kichi Application
Adult App: Kichi Grow Up App [Approved]
 Age: Young adult (18-20)
Current Residence: The Meepery (and not looking forward to having to move out)

Appearance: Tall! It's those legs, man. Those legs..... And the ears don't help, if you're counting them too. Markings are symmetrical, except for the shoulder marking, which is only on her right shoulder. Not that you'll need to worry about that most likely; not only is it on her back, it's almost always hidden by her hair. Carries herself with either poise or moves like her own energy is getting ahead of herself, figuratively falling over her own actions. It seems to depend on her mood— not that these two mannerisms are mutually exclusive.
Kichi is highly animated, frequently gesticulating with her forepaws, wings, arms— really anything that can be used to express emotion will be used to express emotion. She rarely stands still, frequently shifting her weight from foot to foot if she has no excuse for being active at the moment.

Personality: High-energy and full of positivity, Kichi is practically the definition of an optimistic idealist. She's nearly always thinking of the best outcome and looking for the best in people, which isn't usually too hard for her to find, considering she just loves people, period. Inarguably extroverted, Kichi is extremely outgoing, and enjoys making connections with people, loathing to be stuck alone for any significant period of time. She constantly needs somebody to share her easily enticed enthusiasm with, and new activities to apply it to. Monotony holds no appeal to her, as she becomes easily bored by repetition, making her come off as flighty and noncommittal. Which isn't to say that's necessarily an inaccurate impression; she is afraid of locking herself into any one decision or course in general. This seems to apply to her train of thought as well, which behaves more like a game of Frogger than any railroad I know of. Sometimes, this makes her sound like an airhead when she tries to express what's going on up there, but it's not that there's nothing going on, it's that it's going a little too quickly and erratically for her mouth to keep up— and she is quite capable of speaking too quickly.
Despite her lack of experience (or perhaps in part because of it), Kichi is very confident in herself and her abilities. She's happy to share this with other people, too. Which is to say, she's a showoff. Looking to impress, tunnel vision for an ideal outcome, and minimal experience with serious failure leads her to be fairly impulsive. She's not likely to heed warnings regarding her questionable ideas, either, as she tends to disregard negativity out of hand, perceiving it as bogging people down with cynicism, pessimism, or stuffiness, instead of as something more nuanced. Nuance in general is not her forte, because while her affective empathy is if anything stronger than average, her cognitive empathy is questionable. She has no problem putting herself in somebody else's place, as children are often taught to do, but the problem with that is while it's their place, it's still Kichi standing there, with Kichi's thought processes and Kichi's emotions. It's very difficult for her to empathize with others without projecting her own perspective onto them. Which is usually functional, but when encountering somebody who is not just superficially but fundamentally different from herself, it's no doubt flawed.
Regardless, she is a people person, which you may have gathered, and is legitimately trying to do the right thing. She may not understand why somebody is feeling badly, but she'll understand that they are, and feel bad that they feel bad. If she messes up, she knows to apologize, even if she doesn't know why exactly things went wrong. She trusts people easily, and while it's not too hard to break her trust, it's possibly even easier to regain it again. And again. And again. Kichi places a lot of stock in the concept of second chances. In her mind, people are fundamentally good, and that goes for herself, too.

Likes: Sour things, sweets, shiny things, attention, being impressive, socializing, scavenger/treasure hunt-type activities, big open spaces, going fast, dancing, singing, trying new things, butterflies, purrdies, terrapups

Dislikes: Spicy things, bitter things, being cooped up, repetitiveness, responsibility/adulthood (despite wanting to join the Adventurer's Guild), being alone, being ignored, pessimism, cynicism, spiders, roaches, moths

Voice: Like her body language and facial expressions, her voice is, by default, full of energy. She's not loud, however, just expressive. Of course this can vary with emotion, getting flatter when irritated or saddened. The pitch is on the higher end of the spectrum, but it's no squeaky anime girl voice. If you've heard Monika's voice (DDLC), it's similar to hers, just "smoother" and a little higher pitched.

 Other:

  • Not easily offended
  • Touchy-feely type; she can get uncomfortable if there's too much tension preventing physical interaction
  • Has a tendency to try to describe things with sound effects, which pairs well with her pseudo-pantomimes
  • Her most delighted laugh is something of a squealy cackle
  • When startled badly, jumps up to ten feet in the air, though on average it's about five. She rarely screams, however, and is more likely to gasp. Her other reaction is generally to freeze

 Traits:
